Many of you are aware of my (and our) love for ice cream and pudding. One of my favorite dinners here is flan-from-a-box, which is susupiciously identical to pudding. Here Alan enjoys a bite.

It's good you can find some simple pleasures that far away from home! There's always something good to eat in Central America, I know I loved some things we tried in Costa Rica. Did you hear your mom won the Gateway Chili Cookoff last Sunday using your wife's receipe? We all thought of you two and felt your presence through a wonderful batch of chili and your mom gave full credit to Beth's fabulous family receipe! Miss you all, but still feel your presence!
